Fair Tax Colorado is made up of several organizations that came together to fix our state’s broken tax system. Right now, the wealthy get break after break as families suffer from a lack of proper investment in the programs and services they depend on. By raising taxes on the top 3% of earners, Colorado could undo decades of unfairness and give our communities what they need to thrive.
What a fair tax code would do:
Give a tax cut to 97% of Coloradans
All Coloradans earning less than $250,000 a year would pay a lower income tax rate.
Guarantee funding for schools, roads, & health care
With the $2 billion raised by creating a fair tax code, Colorado could adequately fund overdue road projects, ensure better pay for teachers, lower health care costs, and so much more.
Ensure every Coloradan pays their fair share
It’s unfair Colorado’s middle class pays a larger share of their income in taxes than the top 3% of earners. Asking the wealthiest Coloradans to pay a little more would make our tax code fair.
